After studying electrical engineering for two years at Prairie View A & M University in Prairie View, TX, Jay Washington redirected his skills to the retail industry. He was in retail management for one of the largest retail chains in the United States before joining Globe Life American Income Division (AIL) in 2013.
Jay was drawn to AIL by the opportunity for financial independence, but his personal life experience also played a part. “My father passed away when I was 17, and we were not in the place we needed to be,” recalls Jay. “With AIL, we are able to make certain that families don’t have to suffer financially through those hardships. We secure families’ futures. The most rewarding aspect of Globe Life American Income Division is the impact we have on the lives of others. A major Company focus is on the food bank. We are committed to being an example of giving back to the communities we service,” adds Jay.

Jay is proud of what he has achieved with AIL. “I believe one of my greatest accomplishments was my path to a Master General Agent (MGA) position. I attained my MGA contract within 11 months of coming on board with the Company,” recalls Jay. “Of course, my determination, drive, and work ethic were key components. But I could not have accomplished it without the mentorship that I had in Mike Laramie and Steve Greer. The thing I’m most proud of, however,” adds Jay, “is the mentorship and guidance I’ve been able to impart into the lives of so many.”
What’s Jay’s advice to those considering joining the AIL family? “Go hard or go home,” he says emphatically. “If you are driven and committed, this is for you! If you would rather just get by, then walk on by.”
If he could restart his AIL career, Jay would have focused more on building and training. “It’s the Major Key,” he says. “If you are tired of the norm, looking for an excellent opportunity to change, not only your life, but the lives around you as well, this is the place for you.”
Jay is a big sports fan. “Other than reading, or a family vacation, a good game is all that I need. I love sports; my only downtime is to catch a good game,” he adds.
Jay is also committed to his church and hopes to open a community center for underprivileged kids.

Tiffany Babin-Washington
Before I joined Globe Life American Income Division (AIL) in 2014, I was a self-employed, struggling, single mother, and fulltime college student,” recalls Tiffany Washington. “After a determined AIL recruiter called me for six straight months, I figured I needed to find out what was being offered. As I sat in the interview and learned about the Company, its products, and potential earnings, I realized I was being challenged before I even got started. I knew I needed to seize this amazing opportunity,” she adds.
Tiffany wanted to become an Organization leader to advance women in business. “I wanted to be an impactful advocate for the endless possibilities this great Company has afforded my family and me in every aspect of life,” she indicates. “I’m great at what I do, and, after proper preparation, when the opportunity for Organization leadership presented itself, I was ready for the challenge. I’m confident in myself, my craft, and passionate about my Agents and the families we protect, as well as the products we offer. I bring energy, proven systems, and grit with grace to everything I do. If I could restart my career, I would have stayed out of my own head and read more leadership books. My early concerns with things like team building and personal growth came from my lack of knowledge,” she states.

What’s Tiffany advice when you join the Globe Life American Income Division family? “Go full throttle, no brakes, and give it all you have. Put your blinders on and be coachable, humble, and a student of your business. Then as you excel, reach back and bring good people with you,” she emphasizes. “My Organization offers unlimited opportunity with endless possibilities for financial freedom, while giving you the option to work remotely from your home, office, or field location,” she states.
Tiffany’s AIL experience has been exceptional. “The most rewarding aspect of joining AIL is meeting my mentor and husband, Jay. It’s allowed us to do business and marriage together while still remaining alive and sane under one roof,” she jokes. “AIL products are the financial instruments that sound off when people need them the most and help change the financial trajectory of their families when fully protected. I’m proud of my accomplishments at Globe Life American Income Division. The strong survive and thrive, and I’ve done exactly that. Being Agent of the Year with the Greer Organization and having the most net Annualized Life Premium my first year was a real kick,” she asserts.
When not working for AIL, Tiffany works for other causes. “I support the Lupus Foundation that is a cause near and dear to my heart. My daughter was diagnosed with Lupus at the age of nine and is a true warrior. I witness firsthand the highs and lows Lupus patients endure and how they triumph,” she says. “My Organization also hosts annual blood drives, conducts food drives, donates to nonprofits, and hosts Thanksgiving and Christmas giveaways,” Tiffany states.
What else keeps Tiffany busy? “I like the Houston Rockets and the Seattle Seahawks, because I have to in my household, but I love Beyoncé more. I also love traveling, everything related to fashion, shopping, great seafood, and singing in church. Time for pray and meditation is also important to me. And I enjoy time with my dog, Ace, a Goldendoodle with his own Instagram account,” she adds.
